Release 9.3.0
Improvements
Ask AI (pilot): A new Ask AI button lets users ask how to do something in ABMS and get a short answer with the steps, the exact button names and a link to the user guide article. Answers are based on the latest version of the user guide. Ask AI is available for selected customers.
Action Manager:
- Actions you assign to yourself now have a simpler workflow. When you choose yourself as the responsible, the Send action button changes to Create action. The action is then created directly as In progress, without having to accept it, and you close it with Complete action. If you click Save as draft instead, the action stays New until you click Create action.
- In a self-assigned action, Action taken / Comments can be filled in and edited at any time and is kept when you save as draft, forward or complete the action. The title, suggested actions, findings and tagging information can also still be edited.
- If a self-assigned action is forwarded or transferred to another user, it follows the normal workflow again.
Module/Document:
- Standard Modules can now have a Checklist field that works the same way as checklists in Action Manager. Checklist templates can be imported both when setting up the module and when editing a document, and checklists are included when printing to PDF and exporting to Excel.
- Reports can show a checklist column with the progress of each document's checklist (for example 5/7), and you can sort by it.
- Checklist items that have sub-items can now be expanded and collapsed, which makes long checklists easier to work with. This works in Action Manager, Standard Modules and checklist templates. PDFs always print the full checklist.
- On mobile, empty Info fields are no longer shown, so documents no longer have large blank spaces between fields. Info fields with content are shown as before, and the desktop layout is unchanged.
Super:
- Super → Templates now has two tabs, WYSIWYG Templates and Checklist Templates. Checklist templates are shared by Action Manager and Standard Modules, and can be found with a new search field, also when importing a template.
- The WYSIWYG templates list has been redesigned, with an Edit button next to Delete, sorting by name and creation date, and the same date format as the rest of ABMS.
Report Analysis:
- Graphs can now show the total they represent next to the graph title, either the number of documents or the sum of a number field. The total follows all filters, is shown in full with thousands separators, and is also shown in Dashboard widgets. Turn it on with the new Show total setting.
- A new Show by weeks option groups graph data by week number, to follow shorter-term changes.
- Graphs shown by months can now be displayed in date order across years (for example Jan 2025, Feb 2025 … Jan 2026) with the new Show data chronologically option, available under Show by months and in the Trend settings. Months without data are still shown, which makes long trends easier to read.
Dashboard: Usage Statistics now also includes Action Manager, showing the number of actions created in the selected period alongside the published documents of each module.
Documents: A status indicator next to the QR code in the top bar now shows when your changes are being saved, when they have been saved, and when saving failed. It is also shown on external documents, and is hidden on mobile.
KPI/Scorecard: Large numbers are now easier to read, with a space between every group of three digits (for example 1 000 000) in monthly values, targets, sums and graphs. The Excel export shows the same formatting while keeping the values as numbers you can calculate with.
Risk Management:
- The column headers of the risk table now stay visible at the top of the window while you scroll down through long risk analyses, in both view and edit mode. Sorting and expanding or collapsing column groups still work from the header.
- The horizontal scrollbar of the risk table now stays visible at the bottom of the window, so you no longer have to scroll to the end of a long table to scroll sideways.
Competency Management: In Competency Admin, capsules and competencies can now be linked without drag and drop. When you edit a competency, you choose the capsules it belongs to from a searchable list, and when you edit a capsule, you choose its competencies the same way. Linked items are listed in the field and can be removed with one click. Drag and drop still works.
API: The Reports API can now include the content of selected text editor (WYSIWYG) fields, as plain text or HTML. Without the new option, report calls return the same data as before.
General: The framework behind the ABMS user interface has been updated to a newer version, improving stability and preparing for future improvements.
Bug Fixes
Security: Improved security for user account changes, external document links, Office 365 sign-in and deleting actions through the API.
External documents: Fixed an issue where external documents sent to several recipients could not be opened after the form module had been changed.
Module/Document: Fixed an issue where rows controlled by a dynamic form rule could stay hidden for good, or show an error, after the answer options of the controlling field were changed in the module builder. Rules now follow the changed options, and affected documents show these rows again.
Calculations: Fixed an issue where calculation fields could not be checked or calculated when the same field was used more than once in the formula.
Documents: Fixed an issue where the page could freeze when searching in Insert internal document (Ctrl+Q) in the text editor, in modules with many documents. Document names with quotes or special characters now also show and insert correctly.
Action Manager: Fixed an issue where line breaks in comments and action taken text were lost when shown in the Action flow.
Global Fields: Deleting a global field whose values are still in use now explains which modules use it, instead of showing an error.
